DIRECT SEED (recommended) - Sow dill in spring as soon as the soil can be worked. Plant seeds 4-6mm deep in rows 10-15cm apart. Cover seed. KEEP MOIST and do not let it dry out. Thinning is not necessary, but a 10cm final spacing produces healthy, full plants and 15cm is ideal for cut flower production.
TRANSPLANT - Dill can be started indoors in containers or cell trays. Sow 3-5 seeds per cell. Transplant out using 5-10cm spacing in rows at least 10cm apart.
NOTE - Many growers plant multiple successions of dill during a season especially if harvesting for the leaf stage.
