TRANSPLANT - Sow indoors in 5cm pots, 1–2 seeds/cell, 3–4 weeks before transplanting. Keep temperature above 21°C day and 16°C night. Transplant 30- 40cm apart in rows 120cm apart. Do not disturb roots when transplanting.
DIRECT SOW - Wait until soil temperature is 21°C. Cucumber seeds will not germinate at a soil temperature below 10°C. Sow 2 seeds/30cm, 12mm deep, in rows 120cm apart. Thin to one plant 30cm apart.
NOTE - Cucumbers are very sensitive to cold. Make sure both soil and air temperatures have warmed prior to planting.
