Silver Slicer is a 15-20cm purely white cucumber, with an excellent flavor profile, juicy, crisp flesh and tender, thin, never bitter skin. A refined heirloom from the breeders at Cornell University, Silver Slicer incorporates all of the good features of Boothby’s Blonde with disease resistance to powdery mildew. Expect an abundant harvest late into the season of this superior flavored cucumber.

TRANSPLANT (recommended) - Sow indoors in 5cm pots, 1–2 seeds/cell, 3–4 weeks before transplanting. Keep temperature above 21°C day and 16°C night. Transplant 30- 40cm apart in rows 120cm apart. Do not disturb roots when transplanting.
DIRECT SOW - Wait until soil temperature is 21°C. Cucumber seeds will not germinate at a soil temperature below 10°C. Sow 2 seeds/30cm, 12mm deep, in rows 120cm apart. Thin to one plant 30cm apart.
NOTE - Cucumbers are very sensitive to cold. Make sure both soil and air temperatures have warmed prior to planting.
