Kale 'Black Magic'

from A$5.25

Brassica oleracea

‘Black Magic’ is a well-maintained selection of ‘Cavolo Nero’ or Toscano kale with long, narrow leaves for attractive and tall, straight bunches.

  • Highly uniform for full-size production.

  • Slightly sweeter in flavour and a more delicate, tender texture

  • Heirloom

  • Extremely cold hardy (surviving hard frosts)

Dark blue-green leaves with beautiful savoy, blistered leaf. With a long history (since 600BC) in the Tuscany region of Italy, ‘Cavolo Nero’ or Lacinato kale is more tender, less fluffy and delicious, perfect sautéed, in soups, in winter salads. This cold hardy staple offers 3 season harvesting including the delicious flower shoots in early spring.
