Annual Seed Gift Program

Growing food. Sharing knowledge. Nurturing connections.

Annual Seed Gift Program 2026

Seed is the beginning of food, and while we no longer grow produce for our community, we are excited to continue sharing the foundations of growing through our Annual Seed Gift Program.

Every purchase you’ve made this past year — whether seeds or tubers — has helped us provide quality seeds and resources to groups learning through growing.

Thank you for being part of a community that values gardens, shares knowledge and nurtures flourishing connections.

Applications Open

Applications open on 1 August and are being accepted until Monday 31 August 2026.

Please apply or share if you know of a garden or learning group that would benefit from a diverse seed collection of more than 20 varieties of vegetables, herbs and flowers.

GROW FOOD!

We have a collection of diverse, four-season food, herb and flower seeds to gift to groups who are learning through growing.

Who Can Apply

Our Annual Seed Gift Program is open to ANY GROUP with shared learning goals and a strong connection to growing in the garden.

It is not age-restricted and does not need to be connected to a traditional school building. We welcome any group of people coming together to learn, grow and connect through gardening — including community gardens, garden clubs, homeschool groups, neighbourhood groups and other learning communities.

How to Apply

If you have, or know of, a group organised around growing food, please complete our Annual Seed Gift Program Application Form (available through the link below from 1 August - 31 August 2026).

The form helps us understand your garden, your learning goals and how the seed collection will be used.

Please Share

We’re often head-down and hands-dirty in seed production, so we rely on our community to help this opportunity reach the right people.

Please share with schools, community gardens, garden clubs, homeschool groups, neighbourhood groups and other learning communities who may enjoy growing and learning together.

We believe in the power of networks, and every connection helps more seeds find their way into gardens.
