Seed is the beginning of food.
While we no longer grow produce for our community, we're excited to continue sharing the foundations of growing through our Annual Seed Gift Program.
Every purchase you make at Transition Farm helps make this possible.
Whether you've purchased seeds or dahlia tubers this past year, you've helped us provide quality seed and growing resources to community groups learning through gardening.
Thank you for being part of a community that values gardens, shares knowledge and nurtures flourishing connections.
What is the Annual Seed Gift Program?
Each year we provide diverse collections of vegetable, herb and flower seed to groups learning through growing.
Last year we gifted 20 collections, each containing more than 20 different varieties.
This year, with your support, we're hoping to provide 30 seed collections, together with growing resources to help even more gardens flourish.
Who can apply?
This program is open to groups with shared learning goals and a connection to gardening.
Examples include:
- Community gardens
- Schools
- Early learning centres
- Homeschool groups
- Garden clubs
- Neighbourhood gardens
- Community organisations
- Other learning groups
Groups of all sizes are welcome.
