POSTAGE

Orders are dispatched twice a week:
Monday ( for orders received Thu, Fri, Sat and Sun )
Thursday ( for orders received Mon, Tue, Wed )

If we are experiencing a high volume of orders, we announce the expected dispatch time on the top of the page.

We offer two SEED Postage Options for Australia-wide shipping:

$10.00 Seed Postage with Tracking (RECOMMENDED**)
$5.00 Seed Postage with NO Tracking

OCT 2025 - We are strongly recommending TRACKED shipping as seed parcels untracked are taking up to 14-20 days to arrive.

Order confirmation and shipping emails are sent for all orders. The tracking numbers (if applicable) are sent with the confirmation of shipment.

INTERNATIONAL : We currently DO NOT ship outside of Australia NOR to freight forwarding addresses.

**PLEASE NOTE**
If you choose NO TRACKING and your parcel does not arrive, we take no responsibility. We also cannot offer you any information on where your parcel might be. When we send your order, you receive an email letting you know your seed has left the farm.

Feedback received in May 2024 has shown that parcels sent without tracking are taking longer to arrive to their destination - between 2-3 weeks in some cases. Feedback received in Sept 2025 suggests that parcels may be sitting at your local post office without a notification to the addressee. Please do ask at your local post office as your seed parcel may be there.

If you choose TRACKING and your parcel does not arrive;
1. Please first use Australia Post’s TRACK MY PARCEL using the tracking number provided in your shipping confirmation email.
2. If that does not assist, please email us at  info@transitionfarm.com. including the NAME, ADDRESS, ORDER NUMBER, TRACKING NUMBER. We can then lodge an enquiry with Australia Post.


WESTERN AUSTRALIA
**WA Customers: Transition Farm Tomato, Capsicum and Chilli Seed has been cleared for importation into Western Australia.

Western Australia is free from a number of serious plant pests, diseases and weeds which are present elsewhere in Australia. Consequently, seed shipments must be presented for inspection to Quarantine WA upon arrival in Western Australia. Transition Farm is an Approved Seed Supplier to Western Australia AND to comply with WA importation conditions, we offer two options for seed shipping to WA.

-We send to Western Australia on the 15 of every month as batch shipments for no additional fee.
Our next scheduled shipment date is:
Friday 15th May (Place orders by Thursday 14th May).
Monday 15 June 2026
(Place orders by Sunday 14th June);
Wednesday 15th July (Place orders by Tuesday 14th July);

-Alternatively, seeds can be posted as single shipments when the purchaser pays the $48 - $65 WA biosecurity fee. If you would like to arrange this, please email us: info@transitionfarm.com.

**WA Customers: As of Monday 16 September, 2024, Transition Farm Tomato, Capsicum and Chilli Seed have been cleared for importation into Western Australia. WA biosecurity may change this decision at anytime, without prior warning. Please know that we are keeping abreast of the situation and will communicate any changes with our customers.


TASMANIA
Transition Farm is an Approved Seed Supplier to TASMANIA.  All seed sent to Tasmania is inspected on arrival by Biosecurity Tasmania.


Transition Farm is not responsible for parcels gone missing due to an incorrect address on the order. If you notice a mistake before the parcel is sent, please send an email immediately in hopes that we can correct it - Thank you! We, too, want our seeds in your ground!!

Quality Guarantee

We do what we do because we genuinely love sharing food and beauty through seeds, tubers, and seedlings. Alongside this, we are committed to providing clear guidance and resources to support successful growing.

We understand the hope invested in every seed, and we take that responsibility seriously.


SEEDS - Our Guarantee

If you experience poor germination or are otherwise dissatisfied with a seed product, please contact us within 14 days of receiving your order.

Please include:

  • Your name and order number
  • The variety in question
  • How and when the seed was sown
  • A description of the issue
  • Photos (these are often very helpful in understanding what has occurred)

We stand behind the seed we send. If a product does not perform as expected under reasonable growing conditions, we will review the issue and work with you to resolve it.

We are unable to accept returns of unused or unwanted seed, as we cannot verify storage or growing conditions once seed has left our care. These factors can significantly influence germination and performance.


Every packet includes specific growing advice for that crop, and QR codes link to detailed growing information on our website. We strongly encourage referring to these when sowing.

We also recommend reading our seed storage guidance, as proper storage is essential to maintaining seed quality.


TUBERS

REFUND POLICY
If you have any concerns with your dahlia tubers, please contact us as soon as possible and within 4 days of receipt of the tuber.

Please email info@transitionfarm.com and provide the following:

  • Your order confirmation number;
  • A brief description of the issue.
  • Clear, focused photos of the tuber in question - multiple angles help- including Transition Farm stamp ;

PLEASE NOTE: info@transitionfarm.com is the ONLY point of contact for dahlia tuber issues. We cannot respond to any comment sent via social media

Once the tubers leave our farm and they have been delivered to the provided address, we entrust them to your care. You are responsible for the following:

  • Storage Conditions - Store tubers in a cool dry location until planting time, out of direct sun, heat or freezing temperatures.
  • Weather Conditions - Dahlia’s are cold sensitive. Wait to plant your tubers until the ground is at least 15°C and danger of frost has past.
  • Pest/critter damage - It is unfortunate that critters and pest also enjoy dahlias. Protecting your tubers from them

We offer information GROWING INFORMATION but cannot be held responsible for the storage of a tuber nor failure to grow once planted.

CHANGE OF MIND
We do not offer a refund or returns on any item due to change of mind. Please take your time to browse our offerings early so that you are confident with your purchase.

Pre-Sales are shipped once the eyes are visible - October. We try and send parcels on days when they will not spend the weekend in a depot.
