- Early producing productive Heirloom
- Tolerates cooler soils
- Disease resistance
- Untreated Seed
A dependable early bush (dwarf) bean that earns its place in our garden year after year. ‘Provider’ produces generous crops of straight, round green pods around 15–17 cm long that are tender, crisp and stringless when picked young. The compact plants grow about 45–50 cm tall and don’t require staking, making them easy to grow in garden beds or larger containers. One of the first beans ready to harvest, it germinates well in cooler soils and is suited to early spring sowing. Pick regularly to encourage plants to keep flowering and producing over a long harvest period. A productive heirloom with good disease resistance and pods well suited to fresh eating, freezing or preserving.

DIRECT SEED (Recommended)
For best germination and strong growth, wait until soil temperatures reach at least 21 °C. Sow seeds 2.5 cm deep, spacing them 5 cm apart, with two rows per 75 cm bed. Do not thin. For a continuous harvest, sow successively every 2–3 weeks through to midsummer.
TRANSPLANT
Not recommended.
HARVEST
Harvest when pods reach 15–17 cm in length for fresh eating. Regular picking encourages continued production, with plants typically yielding 2–3 harvests.
