Celosia argentea plumosa

Soft feathery plumes and plumed spikes in shades of pale pink, antique rose, clam shell and faded blush linen on tall cranberry tinged stems. The colour rises to the tips of the plumes yielding a multi toned feather-like spike that combines incredibly with a softer palate.

Known for their masses of flowers, long vase life, visual appeal (fresh and dried), love of hot, humid and dry conditions and extended harvest period, celosia is a summer cut flower work horse! With good summer heat, celosia thrive and bloom from early summer through until mid-late Autumn! Hard pinching encourages ample branching and longer stems.

Please Note - This is a single colour selection several generations along that has yielded a muted pink, iridescent, blushed linen palate. We are focusing our breeding on maintaining the soft pink, faded linen colour range, the cranberry stem and selecting for an ample, poofy plume. Off types may still present in this Transition Farm original
