Dusty pink with antique and cinnamon undertones, Formby Duke develops into a richer, almost cinnamon-pink shade as the season progresses. Its huge, generously petalled blooms have a refined form and are carried on strong, long stems. The subtle complexity of the colouring is something best appreciated in person. We adore it, and so does our florist!

Bred in Devonport, Tasmania, by George Harding, Formby Duke was released in 1986 and is one of the highly regarded varieties from his renowned Formby breeding program. George Harding bred more than 100 named dahlias under the Formby prefix, many of which became sought-after exhibition varieties.

Formby Duke is a standout large decorative dahlia, producing impressive sized blooms with strong stems and an unusual vintage colour palette - fashionable then and sought after now too!
