Dusty pink to watermelon-pink with a peachy violet centre, Formby Monarch is such a well formed flower - Loads of pointed, gold tipped petals, tight centre, fantastic head tilt. 

One of the appealing features of this variety is that it can produce impressive blooms without relying entirely on disbudding the side shoots. In our experience, side blooms can also develop beautifully while the main flower remains at its best, giving the plant plenty of garden presence throughout the season.

The colour and form make Formby Monarch a stand alone bloom or one easily complemented in an arrangement.  Productive plants.

Bred in Devonport, Tasmania, by George Harding, Formby Monarch is one of the highly regarded varieties from his renowned Formby breeding program. George Harding bred more than 100 named dahlias under the Formby prefix, many of which became sought-after exhibition varieties.
