Delicate and luminous, Formby Pearl is a charming Miniature Decorative dahlia - prolific and reliable performer which adds a grace to arrangements.

Its softly glowing white petals are washed with subtle lilac and lavender tones, becoming more pronounced towards the centre. As each flower matures, the gently unfurling petals reveal an exquisite depth of colour and form.

Formby Pearl is a great cutting dahlia, producing plenty of flowers on good stems throughout the season. Its refined colouring and size makes it an exceptionally useful in bouquets, pairing effortlessly with peaches, soft blushes, lavender, lemon yellow and other delicate tones.

Bred in Devonport, Tasmania, by George Harding, Formby Pearl is one of the highly regarded varieties from his renowned Formby breeding program. George Harding bred more than 100 named dahlias under the Formby prefix, many of which became sought-after exhibition varieties.
