Eggplant 'Diamond'

A good choice for colder regions with good production of attractive, dark purple, 15-20cmmm fruits with non-bitter flavour and a creamy texture in less than ideal summer temperatures. We have trialed many eggplants over the years looking for an OP variety that was early, prolific and tasty. 'Diamond' yielded as well as two hybrid varieties in our on-farm trials. In the field, as opposed to the polytunnels, these plants produced early, attractive, dark purple fruit.
