Nigella 'White'

Nigella sativa

Delicate foliage becomes densely covered in buds that open revealing white, multilayered petals surrounding sea anemone like stamen and an interesting seed pod. The flowers have with a great vase life and add a whimsy to bouquets.

The seed pods slowly swell into striped balloons which can be used in arrangements (fresh and dried). The seeds are edible with a delightful savoury sweetness. Succession plant every 2-4 weeks for continual harvest.
