Shirley Poppy 'Supreme'

Linen white, crimson red, scarlet ibis orange and fuchsia purple (an almost hot pink) in semi double and single blooms are all included in ‘Supreme’ poppy. The unusual colour combination with their tissue paper, crinkly appearance was described by Erin Benzakein at Floret as reminiscent of an old fashion silk kimono - we completely agree! ‘Supreme’ is a stunning addition to gardens and design work.

Easy to grow, vigorous plants that produce an abundance of blooms over a 6-week period in late spring/early summer with small structural seed pods that work well with dried arrangements. The delicate and unusual combination of the almost not real petals and the colours make these wonderful for design work. The flowers rise high above the blue green serrated foliage - Although short lasting, buds on cut stems will continue to open.

Please note- We are rigorous in our colour selection and have found that 2% of the blooms revert back to “Flinders Red” in colour.
