  • Easy to grow, prolific bloomers with tall stem

  • Long vase life
  • Loved by pollinators

Unusual, multi petalled, papery blooms with tight pointy light to dark pink buds which gradually open to reveal a whiter, blush pink with a bright yellow centre.

They are a great addition to cut flower arrangements with a long vase life and a colour that changes as they age. They mix with brights AND pastels adding interest late spring - autumn.

Unusual, multi petalled, papery blooms with tight pointy light to dark pink buds which gradually open to reveal a light to dark pink papery petal variation surrounding a brighter yellow centre.

Plants are tall and well branched.

Equally attractive fresh in bouquets or mixed into dried flower arrangements as the colour lasts. If you are cutting for drying, ensure the blooms are cut as buds and hung upside down until the stem dries. Keep harvesting for continuous blooms. Does self seed in some climates.

Attractive to pollinators.

DIRECT SEED: Prefers well-drained soils and temps of 21-24°C. Sprinkle seeds on surface. May be slow to germinate and needs to be kept constantly moist. Initial growth is slow. Protect from snails and slugs.

TRANSPLANT (RECOMMENDED):Start seed indoors in trays 6 weeks before transplant date. Sow 1-2 seeds per cell. Keep evenly moist at 21-24°C. Seed requires light to germinate so do not cover. While cold hardy, transplant when threat of frost has passed. Transplant at 22cm. Plants may need support. Pinching is recommended to encourage uniform and productive branching.

HARVESTING/VASE LIFE: Pick when 1/3-1/2 of the petals have opened but the tight bud is still covering the pollen. Vase life about 10-14 days. If harvesting to dry, remove foliage and hang upside down. You can also put floral wire into the stem close to the bloom right after harvesting and the stem will dry onto the wire. Ensure flowers for drying are only 1/3 open as they continue to open while drying. Dry in a warm, dark place.
