Vigorous, dwarf, potato leaf plants produce a heavy yield of medium to medium large sized oblate, smooth red fruit, possessing a superb, intense, complex flavour – one of the very best flavoured of all of the dwarfs. ‘Sweet Scarlet Dwarf’ has been a highlight for all who grow it and beloved by those who taste it.

Another great variety created by the Dwarf Tomato Project, it originated from a cross made by Patrina Nuske Small between Golden Dwarf Champion and Elbe and named Tipsy. 'Sweet Scarlet Dwarf' was selected and named by Craig LeHoullier.

This variety is pledged to the Open Source Seed Initiative.
